Formula--Unparalleled Excellence!
Since its inception, Formula has been known for high quality construction, attention to detail, and innovation that customers demand. The 45 Yacht continues this tradition and is loaded with the luxurious features you will appreciate when spending your valuable time on the water.
Island Time III is a nice example of a low-hour, one-owner, all freshwater, 45 Yacht ready for you immediately. Finished in high-gloss Imron, she flaunts an eye-catching, yet subtle, silver and blue hull stripe that leads your gaze to her wood-clad aft deck. Perched there is a Williams TurboJet 285 jet tender cradled in an electric lift standing by for adventures ashore.
On Deck
Stepping aboard, you are welcomed to a spacious aft seating area enclosed by custom, color-matched canvas. The canvas features a center ventilated panel and removeable isinglass sections so you can customize to your liking. A removeable table with drink holders topped in Graylite Corian is surrounded by a U-shaped lounge with a color-matched blue stripe. In typical Formula fashion, the hand-sewn upholstery is of premium quality. Double-stitched tear-resistant high-density vinyl wraps DriFast foam padding that does not retain water. A concealed rocker switch raises the aft portion of the lounge for walk-in engine room access. Alternatively, access is gained via a day hatch on the floor. Across from the lounge is a wet bar with refrigerator/freezer and sink, storage lockers, and an expansive Graylite Corian countertop with hidden trash bin. Beautiful wood flooring, ample storage, and accent lighting add an extra dimension of comfort.
The modern helm station features twin 12" Raymarine displays, an i70 multifunction display, and i70 autopilot control all mounted in a sleek burl-wood dash panel. Engine parameters are provided through the Volvo Engine Monitoring Display, and illuminated switches are within easy reach. A tilt steering wheel finished in wood and leather is flanked by the electric shift and throttle controls. The IPS joystick makes maneuvering this sizeable yacht a simple task--pull, push, or twist to vector engine thrust and make simple work out of low speed docking and mooring operations. The helm console features twin seating areas with adjustable bolsters allowing one to sit, stand, or lean. Adjacent to the helm is a long lounge area with plenty of seating for family or guests. The entire area is surrounded by panoramic, brace-free glass windscreen and enclosed by a coupe-style hardtop with an electric opening rooftop.
A large sunbathing area comprises the foredeck, and anchoring is made easy with a Lewmar windlass with foot controls. A remote windlass control is located at the helm, and a convenient digital chain counter keeps tabs on the scope.
Engines
Power is supplied through twin 440 hp Volvo Penta D6-IPS 600 turbodiesels with common rail injection and steerable pods for extreme maneuverability. A Westerbeke 11.5 kW generator is on hand to power things at anchor. Engines and generator are easily accessed, with filters and major components within easy reach. Batteries, chargers, and a shore power cord keeper are all neatly located in the spacious engine room. There are currently just 230 hours on each engine.
Below Deck
Stepping down through the sliding companionway door, you enter the main salon. To starboard is the U-shaped lounge with high-gloss table, large flatscreen TV and home theater system. Ultraleather upholstery is soft and comfortable, and two stowable pedestal stools bring seating capacity all the way around the table. To port is a spacious galley with high-gloss deep cherry cabinetry, Corian countertops, electric cooktop, and full size refrigerator/freezer. The galley is also equipped with a microwave oven and a wine chiller. Woodgrain finish flooring matches the decor, and has cavernous storage compartments under flush panels.
Stepping aft, you enter the guest stateroom. A large vanity with Corian countertop and a stainless sink is surrounded by high-gloss deep cherry cabinetry. A head and shower compartment adjoins this space, convenient as a day head or for your guests. The stateroom features twin beds that can convert to queen size, HDTV/DVD, and underfloor storage.
Moving forward, you enter the secluded owner's stateroom. With separate head and shower compartments, a centerline queen-sized bed, HDTV, and dual cedar-lined lockers, you have all of the comforts of home. The owner's stateroom has an elegant mirrored pocket door that can be used to separate the space from the main cabin to maintain privacy.
