The flush deck profile of the Bertram 42 Motor Yacht with the flybridge aft and the lower helm forward on the aft is seldom seen nowadays, but back in the 1970s this was the way most contemporary motor yachts were designed. One of the few deep V motor yachts ever produced, the Bertram 42 was built on the same hull used in the production of the Bertram 42 Convertible. The salon floor plan in the 42 Motor Yacht is not very typical, by placing the forward companionway to starboard, space in the mid-level galley is vastly enlarged and the salon is very open. With her proven Deep V hull,, the Bertram 42 Motor Yacht can handle sea conditions that keep other yachts her size in port.
